My folks got me started with lessons right away at a small music store in South Philly. Like most teenage kids who play an instrument, I got together with friends who also played and we started a band just to have fun. Later on I began to pay attention to guitar players like JImi Hendrix and Carlos Santana it was clear that I needed a deeper understanding of music. The teacher that opened my eyes to the possibilities of the guitar was Bill Schilling from Wilmington Delaware. Bill is an extremely gifted Jazz guitarist that I met at a club where he played regularly on South street in Philadelphia back in the 1970's. In the process, learning and understanding the details was interesting to me and I also enjoy working with people. So now we have the perfect situation, your talent interacting with people who want to learn what you know. In a nutshell folks, it will be my pleasure to instruct you on the guitar, electric bass, piano, voice, and music theory. We will have fun, and you will become a skillful musician! I also stress that it is important to practice everyday and focus on the details.
