I attended Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY and I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. I taught private lessons at a performing arts center in Shoreham, NY. I taught voice, piano (levels 1-6), beginner drums, and beginner flute. I am able to teach Music Theory and Music Composition. Currently I work for Atlanta School of Musical Arts as a piano, voice, and drum teacher, and I am a Pre-K teacher for a Learning Academy here in Jonesboro GA. Music has been my passion since I was given the opportunity to sing in my high school choir. I have had experiences in singing with many choirs including: All-County, All-State, and All-Eastern Choirs; local church congregation choirs; High School Musical Theatre program for three years in a row; Five Towns College Choir and Vocal Jazz Ensemble (performed at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall); and Community Theater. I will introduce my students to Classical and Jazz music as part of their repertoire, as these are the two genres of music that are foundational to every musician. I also enjoy getting to know what genres of music my students enjoy listening to and offer them an opportunity to perform songs they like. Throughout my educational career, I have had great teachers that encouraged me and challenged me to be the best musician and teacher I could be. All of my teachers (in their own way) have instilled in me a personal philosophy to give back to my students what has been so graciously given to me. I look forward to hearing from you. Experience Teaching: PianoI am qualified to teach piano lessons from beginner level to intermediate level. I went to school at Five Towns College and majored in Music Education and graduated with a Bachelor's in Music Education. The degree program itself requires that the students have a good knowledge of the piano and be able to teach it. I have taught piano privately for two private schools in Shoreham, NY and Atlanta, GA and had acquired students of my own over the past ten years. Voice (Music)I have a Bachelor Degree in Music Education from Five Towns College where my major was Music Education and I minored in voice. I was in the All State and All Eastern Choir in High School and performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln center with my college choir. I have been teaching private voice lessons for over a decade now.Guitar and UkuleleI am able to teach Beginner to Intermediate Guitar and Ukulele to students.
