Throughout school, I was involved in chorus, band and the marching band where I learned to play the saxophone and read music. My musical genre varies from day to day. I could be listening to Classical Music, Classical Guitar, Rock, Jazz, Funk and Folk Guitar all in just a matter of minutes. But some of my favorite bands to listen to are The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Chicago and Eric Clapton. Some of my musical influences are Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Greg How, David Gilmore, Chet Atkins, Eric Clapton, Nile Rodgers, and, of course, Les Paul. Formal Education: I attended two years of College at StonyBrook University Private Education: I really started to gain my passion for Guitar playing in 1992 when I studied under the influence of Gary Gatti of the Guitar Asylum. Gary has taught some amazing students and still does today. Gary is an amazing Guitar Player. His technique, style, diversity and patience are some of the things I knew I wanted to add to my teaching skills and pass them along to my students. Performing Experience: I have played in several bands throughout my career, giving me the pleasure to play in our Amphitheaters VIP lounge for some of the biggest shows including artists like, Matchbox 20, Radiohead, Dave Matthews, The Script and Journey. Experience Teaching: Guitar Playing and working with students, from young beginners to advanced players are my passions. My goal is to be the best teacher I can be, and with many years of teaching experience, I helped countless aspiring players to live their dreams.
