I played all through high school with concert bands, marching bands and Jazz bands. I was very lucky having excellent teachers who had real life experiences to pass along. I taught myself to play guitar using tapes and a book when I was in junior high. I starting playing guitar in public at church playing for many choirs through high school and college. I started playing professionally when I was a senior in high school, playing coffee houses and restaurants as a solo guitarist and singer and I never stopped. I moved from Colorado to Florida about 12 years ago, to help with the family business and today I continue to play out on a regular basis. Currently I play with a "new country" band, but have played with many other bands. I also still play for the church now and then, and still do my solo act playing many venues around Florida. I made a living out of music for many years playing in Colorado, Florida, up and down the Mississippi River, and throughout the Midwest. Now, I still play out a lot but also have a day job that is very flexible which allows me to play and make my music. Formal Education: Graduated from University of Wisconsin, La Crosse with a Business degree. B.S. Private Education: School of the road and hard knocks. I have learned something from almost everyone I've ever played music with! Performing Experience: Performed in public for over 30 years, made of living out of music for about 20 of those years. He has stayed overtime jamming with me. He asked me to choose some songs to learn and has catered to my skill level. We're learning both some lead and rhythm. I feel I am learning fairly quickly. I wasn't sure about lessons as you can learn a lot via YouTube, but I have found it incredibly helpful to have a teacher to play with.
