He went on to play piano, bass, and drums. While in school, he played the tuba, French horn, and clarinet. During his high school years, he discovered jazz and it became a love of his although he was influenced by gospel music. He later went to college and majored in guitar performance later majored in music marketing. Music education has always been a desire for him. He has been teaching for over 20 years. He says that music education preserves the arts that is dying off. Not only being an accomplished musician he also produces music for other artists. It is through this that creativity comes out of him.
