At DSA, he had the privilege of studying with Denver percussion icons Dave Hammond and Greg Harris. From there, was forever changed by his musical experience. was courted by numerous conservatories, universities and colleges when considering his options for undergraduate studies, and ultimately accepted a full scholarship to the University of Colorado Boulder’s esteemed Jazz Performance program in the College of Music. The recruitment package broke new ground for the university by offering the creation and customization of a special emphasis on jazz vibraphone to suit ’ talent. expects to graduate with his bachelor’s degree in May of 2020. Inspired by his musical mentors, including Aaron Parks, Joshua Redman, Peter Bernstein, Yosvany Terry, Jeff Jenkins and Carl Cecchine, Jr. ’ grandfather and a gifted musician, ’ has dedicated his life to pursuing jazz performance, instruction, education and promotion. has completed an impressive list of independent advanced jazz immersion programs complementing his undergraduate studies, including attending the Stanford Jazz Intensive on scholarship.
