I've been playing guitar and singing for over thirteen years, specializing in blues/soul with a wide range of influences, including modern acoustic singer/songwriters, bluegrass, old-school country, neo-soul/jazz, and a lot in between. I favor a hands-on approach that is tailored to my client's needs, rather they wish to learn how to simply play along with friends or develop a deeper, theoretical understanding of the music they enjoy. My personal influences include Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton, Al Green, Otis Redding, Johnny Cash, and Jack White. Private Education: I am a self-taught musician, although I graduated with my B.A. in Communications/Journalism from Green Mountain College in Poultney, VT in May of 2012. Performing Experience: I have a played in a number of bands and as a solo performer. Experience Teaching: I have personally tutored a half dozen clients--sometimes, for little or no pay. In total, I have spent a cumulative two years worth of teaching and have always enjoyed, as I believe my students have, learning about and sharing music together.
