Creative Movement (Pre-K-1st)

This Creative Movement Class is designed to introduce young dancers to the joy of movement through music, storytelling, games, and creative play. With jazz and ballet as the base, students will build coordination, balance, rhythm, listening skills, and body awareness while exploring movement in a fun and supportive environment. Creative Movement encourages imagination, confidence, and social interaction while laying the foundation for future dance training. Students will explore: Basic dance movement and coordination Rhythm and musicality Creative expression and imagination Balance, stretching, and motor skills Following directions and classroom skills Movement through stories, props, and games Required Materials: Ballet Shoes Comfortable dancewear (leotard, leggings, dance shorts, or fitted athletic wear) Hair secured away from the face Optional: small dance bag for shoes and belongings Water Bottle Recital Costume This registration fee DOES NOT include costumes. Parents can expect to purchase 1 costume for their child for the end of semester recital, selected by the instructor of the class. This costume purchase is required.
