About Abby

Currently a Master of Social Work Candidate at Columbia University, I am passionate about helping students unlock their full potential through personalized support. Although my undergraduate background is in biochemistry and pre-medical sciences, with three years of experience, I tutor a range of subjects, including Math, English, Science, Test Preparation, and Musical Instruments, for students from elementary school to college. I adapt my teaching methods by encouraging open communication about what works best for you. I also celebrate small successes and provide consistent positive reinforcement to keep you motivated. I believe communication builds trust and a collaborative environment. It is rewarding to help students achieve better grades and test scores. I am comfortable tutoring at your home, online, at the library, or a coffee shop. I also work at a bilingual elementary school, and I am able to converse in elementary Spanish and Italian.
