About Abner

Abner is a great caregiver and friend. He made me feel safe and comfortable while I was learning how to work with a caregiver. I'm an autistic adult and Abner has been a great friend and helped me grow as a person and build social skills I was struggling with. He's really patient, sometimes it takes me a long time to get it. I can get fixated and he either lets me find my way out of it or if I'm struggling too hard he'll explain it clearly. He's always down to help, and is cheerful and friendly. The thing that I value most about Abner is that he says things that are honest (even hard things) in true and gentle ways. He encourages me to grow into what I want to be and what I want to do and that kind of support is truly special. I got approved fro regional center services and that's why I need to make a change in caregiver but I would rather not. Abner helps keep me active and social even though that's hard for me. He's a really great person. I think he'd be good with anybody but especially people who like to laugh and joke around.
