About Afiya

Hi, my name is Afiya, and I am a sophomore Criminology major at Howard University, where I am also part of the BA/JD Accelerated Program. Working with children has always been one of my greatest passions, and over the past two years I've gained valuable experience as a babysitter, tutor, and camp counsellor. These roles not only deepened my love for working with kids but also showed me the lasting impact I can have on their growth and happiness. I bring both enthusiasm and creativity to childcare. I enjoy organizing fun activities that also help teach discipline and teamwork. I hold a high school diploma and currently working towards my Bachelor's degree and, ultimately, my Juris Doctor. Beyond childcare, I am happy to assist with assignments, light housework, swimming supervision. I am fluent in English and have intermediate proficiency in Spanish.
