About Alana

Hi! I'm Alana, an early childhood educator with over 15 years of experience. I currently run a small nature-based early learning program in the Renton Highlands and specialize in caring for infants and toddlers in a calm, development-focused environment. Before opening my program, I spent nearly eight years working at an in-home childcare center in West Seattle while also building long-term relationships with families as a nanny. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education from Bellevue College and am CPR and First Aid certified. My approach focuses on helping young children feel safe, curious, and confident through hands-on play, outdoor exploration, music, reading, and sensory activities. I believe children learn best through movement, nature, and meaningful connection. Families often appreciate that their child receives attentive, individualized care while also benefiting from gentle social interaction and a predictable daily rhythm.
