Hi families! I'm Alayna, a warm, experienced nanny with a Montessori-inspired, child-led approach. I believe kids thrive when they're treated with respect, encouraged to explore and problem solve, and given the tools to grow independently. My focus is on experiential learning, where curiosity leads the way- whether that's through a cooking experiment, exploring what Chicago has to offer , or a craft that turns into a full blown art project. I specialize in language development and fostering age-appropriate independence. I help children build confidence in their choices and emotions, while supporting their social-emotional development. I also promote personal responsibility- whether that's learning to clean up after a project or expressing a big emotion in a healthy way. You'll often find me exploring parks and museums, creating open ended craft activities, or whipping up kid friendly meals.
