About Alejandra

My name is Alejandra, and I bring over 15 years of hands-on childcare experience across home and school settings. As a nanny, my responsibilities included managing daily routines such as school drop-offs, homework help, playtime, and bedtime, while also preparing meals and creating a nurturing home environment. From July 2022 to the present, I have worked at Haymarket Children's Academy as both a lead and assistant teacher for children ages 11 months to 7 years. I designed and led age-appropriate lessons in literacy, math, science, and social-emotional learning, while supporting each child's emotional and behavioral needs by ensuring different learning strategies were applied to fit their individual needs. Through both professional and personal experience, I have developed a deep passion for helping children grow, learn, and thrive in safe, engaging settings. I look forward to continuing my work in childcare and bringing the same level of dedication to supporting families.
