If you are lucky enough to be considering Alex to work for you as a nanny, my recommendation is that you stop reading and offer to hire her immediately. Alex has worked with us for the past year and a half, primarily caring for our 3month old to 1.5year old daughter during that period. We also have a 4 and 5 year old that she has been helping watch intermittently during the off-school summer time. On top of all of that, she has been very helpful in doing various light housework (including all the kids laundry!). Even as the father of these 3 young children, I'm truly amazed at how well she can handle watching and caring for all 3 by herself. But we value Alex much more than the great work she does: she has become a large part of our kids' lives (they're now saying Polish words to us) and feels a part of our family. The only reason she is available to work for another family is because we are moving out of the country to Australia. Truly we wish we could take her with us. We will miss her dearly and hope that if you decide to hire her that you treat her well and with the respect she deserves.
