I began babysitting at the age of 14 when I got my babysitting license and continued through age 21, running my own babysitting and dog walking businesses while in school. During college, I also worked for a professional babysitting company. Growing up as one of 11 siblings, I was often the go-to caregiver in my family, which gave me a strong foundation in caring for children of all ages. I eventually transitioned into education and became a middle school science teacher, which is the only reason I stepped away from babysitting.
