I'd describe my personality as positive, caring, supportive I like caring for seniors because they deserve to have a loving environment in this stage of life and many times they offer so much wisdom and teach me as I care for them I'm looking for a job where I am making a positive difference in this world. I want to know that what I've done has made other's comforted and happy. I started caring for seniors initially in 1996. I stopped to raise a family, but went back to it some in 2005, and though I left again, I keep gravitating back towards this field because I know it's where I belong. In my spare time, I am in school to earn my Psychology degree.. I run 5k's when I can. One thing you should know about me is I am not only a caregiver, but a friend. This is not a job, this is my purpose and my joy. My skills include understanding the needs of those who have dementia. I have great organizational and time management skills. I take initiative to do what needs to be done.

Alex has been absolutely wonderful with my mom, who is 85 and has advanced Alzheimer's. Alex is patient and loving and goes above and beyond. She makes sure to walk with my mom, do simple art project with her and encourage my mom in other activities that keep her physically and mentally active. Alex has also been a huge help to my dad, taking care of some household tasks and allowing him to take care of stuff without worrying about mom. Alex has been a true blessing!
