Hello, dear families and elders- Over the last 20 years, I have developed a set of skills and myriad of experiences that all support my greatest passion: caring for people, young & old, in any way that is most supportive to them as an individual as well as to the family unit. I believe we are all connected, and that kindness and compassion, even in the smallest acts of care, make this world a more bearable and beautiful place to live in. I love and revel in the fact that I've made a livelihood of care, not just for humans, but also for animals (dogs, cats, horses, llamas, donkeys, & sheep) and plants. While much of my experience lies in Alzheimer's and dementia care, I also have a background in camp counseling, Montessori teaching, live-in caregiving, personal assistant work, house cleaning, cooking, and gardening. I found Alexis not only skilled, but I'd say gifted in caring for my loved one with advanced dementia. Alexis has that rare combination of experience, patience and intuition which made her my first choice to help us care for our senior. She handled all of the challenging issues that arise when caring for this client skillfully and with kindness. It is challenging to find someone who can work so well with this particular segment of seniors. I can't recommend anyone more than Alexis, especially for dementia patients.
