About Alexis

Working with children is a big passion of mine and my experience with children ranges from babysitting, tutoring, volunteering with an after school program, and substitute teaching for elementary schools . I am the oldest grandchild in my family and have formally babysat since I was 15 years old, but have always helped take care of my cousins since I was 10. I am comfortable working with children of all ages, including infants. I am comfortable working with children with special needs. I have experience in special education classrooms and working one on one with children with level 3 autism. My approach to babysitting is being very hands on, trying to avoid screen time as much as possible in favor of playing games, doing puzzles and crafts, telling stories, and having conversations. I am first aid and CPR certified.
