About Alia

For the past 8 years, I've been dedicated to helping students unlock their full potential as a high school counselor. I hold a graduate degree in Counseling with a specialization in school based counseling, and am a certified teacher experienced with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and student accommodation plans (504). I tutor a range of subjects, from Math and English to Art, Music & Drama, and Special Education, across elementary, middle, high school, adult, and college levels. My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and fostering a love for learning through personalized support, engagement, and patience. I actively listen and observe to understand your learning style, and I value open communication with both students and parents. Witnessing those "aha!" moments is the most rewarding part of being a tutor, and I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals.
