About Alicia

I have experience caring for my grandmother who passed away at 94 years old. I rented a guest house on her property for the last 2 years of her life so I experienced first hand the steep decline and needs required. She had many helpers arranged however I often stayed in a guest room to be there when the helpers could not be. She developed dementia toward the end and that was very difficult to navigate however I now have a much deeper understanding of the cognitive decline and how to interact with those that develop it. I often prepared her meals, ran errands and kept her company. I saw how important it was to have people to help so that she could stay home and also the impact that caring for an elderly loved one has on the immediate family. I would be happy to be able to help provide some relief in stepping in to help provide care.
