I been working like a caregiver and I have to clean and organize there house. I'm experience and dependable.

For the past three and a half years, Alicia provided exceptional care for our parents  who were both in their nineties, until their recent passing in January and June of this year. Her care-giving efforts were initially focused on our mother who suffered from Parkinson Disease and Dementia. She also provided valued support and help to our father as his body and mind deteriorated due to old age. Alicia is an excellent cook and prepared nourishing meals they enjoyed. She is compassionate, caring, kind, thoughtful, dependable, capable, loyal, trustworthy, hardworking, and pro-active in her duties. She demonstrated great love and respect for them. She provided companionship, helped them with personal care including bathing, administered medication, transitioning from bed to commode and wheelchair, did laundry, and assisted with doctor's appointments when needed. Thanks to Alicia, our parents were able to remain in their own home for the last years of their lives.

Alicia is amazing! She is a great cook and brings my mom dinner once a week for one of her shifts. She works hard and is very knowledgeable about how to care for my mom during her back/gall surgery recovery. We are so grateful to have met Alicia through Care.com. Alicia has been very helpful in relieving a lot of the stress involved in caring for my aging parents. She was able to declutter and organize storage spaces as well as keep the house clean. She is an awesome cook! She also drove my parents around for shopping, errands, and doctor appointments.

Alicia, cared for my father and mother. On top of meeting the needs had, health care, and around the house. She really cared for them, made a huge difference to the last years of their life. 

Alicia often went above and beyond in the care of my Father. Being out of state, I was worried, but Dad always appreciated and enjoyed her help. During Dads last few weeks it was clear that the hospice nurse also had a great respect for the knowledge and care that Alicia was providing.



My husband had a stroke and had to have someone with him night and day as he was paralyzed on the left side. I could handle his care in the daytime, along with help from our family but couldn't do it 24/7 so we hired Alicia to stay with him 4 nights a week and help rotate him, move his arm or leg, give him a drink of water or give him more pain meds,  help him with the urinal or in general meet his needs.  She slept in a twin bed in his room and when I went to bed in another room I had complete confidence that my husband would be taken care of completely as all he had to do was call her name and she was right there to help.  She also showered him 2 mornings a week and one evening a week after Carl was settled down she would vacuum or do light housekeeping for me for about an hour. She worked for us for about 2 1/2 years until his passing May 13, 2017.  She is dearly loved by all of us and really seems like part of our family now.  She is ALWAYS Cheerful and happy!

   

Alicia took care of my father 4 nights a week. He was paralyzed on the left side so he needed help transferring, diaper changing, and dressing. I am particular who I leave my fathers care to, but never needed to worry about him when it was Alicia's night to stay with him. She also showered him two mornings a week with no extra help. My mother asked her to help with light housekeeping each week which she was always happy to do. Alicia was with my mother and sister the night Dad passed away. She has become part of our family and we look to her as an angel in our time of need.




We appreciate Alicia so much in our family and love to have around! We know Alicia for about a year now and hope to have her in our lives as long as possible. I agree with Mari T. and Trina S. above; Alicia is caring, dependable and hard working. I love her suggestions and her loving personality! Our family is experiencing challenging health issues and having Alicia is like peace oh heaven in our home. We look forward each time Alicia comes.  Alicia has many talents to help people to go through difficult times.
