About Alima

Hi my name is Alima. I'd describe myself as friendly, supportive, and uplifting. I like tutoring because how I know firsthand how much of a difference it can make. Growing up, I struggled in school. With one on one help I received from my teachers and parents, my grades improved. I want to give back and help students who may feel the same way I did. I'm looking for a job that allows me to make a positive impact by helping children excel in their studies. I started tutoring as a junior in high school where I participated in a peer mentoring program. In my spare time, I like to read, explore new places now that I am back in the city, and spend time with friends and families. I am a nursing graduate from Northeastern University. I worked an internship at Boston Children's Hospital. I developed patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to each child's needs. My skills include personalized teaching, patience, and strong communication skills.
