About Alison

After 6 years of teaching 5th grade in Acton, I'm taking a break from teaching to pursue some additional education. I'm looking for a 1-2 day a week nannying position this school year. My preferred age groups are infants and toddlers. I have over 19 years of experience working with young children, including eight summers working as a nanny and preschool teacher for children ages 4 months to 4 years. I have also spent three summers teaching summer school to children ages 3 to 7. My teaching and nannying experience includes working with children with learning disabilities, Down syndrome, and communication disorders, and children on the spectrum. I have a Master's degree in Special Education in addition to my Bachelor's degree in Education and Psychology. I also taught swimming lessons and worked as a lifeguard for several years.
