About Alissa J

I'd describe myself as enthusiastic, organized and curious I like tutoring because it allows me to tailor learning to each student's needs, help them build confidence, and see them achieve their goals step by step. As a former Harvard faculty, I am looking to use my teaching skills to make a positive difference for students of all ages and backgrounds I started tutoring when I arrived in the US back in 2010, while participating in an exchange program between Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Rutgers U. In my spare time, I like to share my passion for astronomy and space with others Fun fact: I was part of a stand-up and improv group in college, and I'll always do my best to make my students smile at least once, no matter how challenging the lesson might be!
