Hi! I have five years of experience working with kids as a sitter and a stepmother. I'm a former children's entertainer and personal assistant who adores children and pets. Due to the pandemic, many of the kids I cared for are under 4-years-old but I watch kids of all ages. I also have experience working with children with ASD both verbal and non-verbal but I do not have formal training. As a former personal assistant to a high profile family with five kids who I also supported, I'm protective and conscious about privacy too. Currently, I am seeking extra income while applying for my PhD and spending time with children while doing so is a blessing. As an academic, I'm just as comfortable facilitating homeschool and homework as I am taking care of and creating activities for kids. I am also a natural at making balloon animals and face painting which can come in quite handy in a pinch. Children are drawn to me like cotton candy so don't be surprised if they don't want me to leave!

Alissa was amazing with our 1-year-old (Isabelle). She watched Isabelle for a few months before she transitioned to daycare. Alissa was especially great at teaching Isabelle fine motor skills (such as using utensils) and even helped Isabelle with the early stages of walking. She was respectful of our home, would provide a detailed update of how the day went, and even included some helpful suggestions for Isabelle's development. Alissa even brought Isabelle a peek-a-boo book, which is now one of her favorites. We highly recommend Alissa! She is a very nurturing, attentive, and engaging nanny who really cares about children and their development.
