About Allegra

I am interested in helping students of all ages and abilities grow their mastery of the visual arts; starting with basic concepts such as form, value, texture, and gradient students can more confidently create representational works. A solid foundation in these skills will make ventures into the abstract richer and more informed. Alongside technical mastery, students can develop conceptual understanding of the arts by participating in critiques of their own work as well as discussion of other works actively discussing one's own work will allow the student to more articulately communicate their goals and aspirations at every stage of the creative process. I am well-versed in drawing (pencil, charcoal, crayon, ink, etc) and painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor) techniques and was a recipient of Stanford University's Raina Giese Award in Creative Painting in June of 2017. I have never been pain specifically for art lessons, but have guided many friends and children for free.
