About Ally

I'm a professional artist and educator with a BFA in Drawing and Painting, along with minors in Art History, Teaching, and Creative Writing. My studio practice has included work in print/paper/book arts, sculpture, textiles, illustration, and traditional drawing and painting, giving me a strong foundation in nearly all classic art techniques and mediums. I've taught art to learners ages 5 through 50 in classroom, studio, and community settings, and I currently work full-time as a preschool teacher. I love meeting students where they're at--whether they're just beginning or looking to deepen existing skills--and helping them build confidence, technique, and creativity. My approach combines technical knowledge with curiosity, patience, and encouragement. I'm excited to support your artistic goals, explore new mediums with you, or help you strengthen your skills in drawing, painting, mixed media, or craft-based practices.
