About Allyson

My name is Allyson. I'm 41 and I have been in medical since I was 16. I started working in a pharmacy (Eckerd) at 16 on up until my late 20's. Soon after, my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and I took care of her until she transitioned. I stayed in the caregiving field while doing other things such as working as a PCT for a clinic, medical assistant for a podiatrist (X-rays of feet, ultrasound of legs), and I also worked with patients with trach tubes. I've learned a lot being in the medical field but my main reason for being in it so long is because I'm a compassionate being. I love caring for others. I feel empathy and compassion is what makes a person a good caregiver. I'd describe my personality as outgoing, outspoken, compassionate I like caring for seniors because I'm big on family and seniors are someone's family that needs a little extra tlc.
