About Althea

I've been passionate about helping students succeed since high school, when I first started tutoring peers of all ages. Throughout college, I expanded that role by serving as a Teaching Assistant for multiple science and math courses, while also excelling in English and consistently earning a place on the Dean's List every semester. Beyond tutoring and TA work, I gained valuable classroom experience as a substitute teacher in an inner-city school, where I worked closely with students in special education and learned how to adapt lessons to diverse learning styles and needs. I've also taught summer school classes, which strengthened my ability to engage students, keep them motivated, and build their confidence in challenging subjects. These experiences have shaped me into a flexible, patient, and encouraging tutor who loves helping learners master new skills, reach their goals, and feel proud of their progress.
