If a student is struggling with a concept I believe it is important to teach them a variety of strategies so they have a tool box of strategies they can choose from to problem solve. I love to connect our learning to real world situations and future goals to help reinforce the importance of the skills and strategies being learned. Lastly I love to connect with the students. Getting to know their interests and incorporating that into our learning together. If we need to work on math word problems, I love to create word problems involving the interests of the student to increase engagement.
