If God sent an angel to earth, her name would be Alyson. We were blessed to have her care for my father for the last 9 months of his life, and what a beautiful 9 months it was! I find it difficult to put into words how amazing she is. She treated Dad as if he was her family. She was very loving, caring, and respectful. She was extraordinarily patient with my father, a 96 year old retired engineer, with advanced dementia, who knew everything about everything (and not just because he was my father), who could fix anything, and needed to keep busy, because he always had something to do. She was there for Dad. Whatever he needed or wherever he felt he had to wander to, she was there for his supervision, guidance, gentle redirection, always promoting his independence (as safely as possible) and maintaining his dignity, as a 96 year old gentleman has earned and deserves. Alyson was a blessing to my father and to our family. I feel for you if you need such care for a loved one. Alyson will certainly make the difference you need. She is a rare treasure.
