About Alyssa

I am a conscientious, responsible, and respectful 24-year-old woman who is looking for tutoring opportunities while applying to medical school. I started educating as a teaching assistant for introductory biology and three semesters of organic chemistry laboratory in university. After this, I began working with an online tutoring service to teach low-income middle and high school students, with a particular focus on English, Reading, essay writing, college preparation, biology, and chemistry. In my spare time, I like to write my novel. One thing you should know about me is that I am highly reliable and responsible. I prefer to know ahead of time what specific subject I am tutoring so I can make thorough preparation and plans to best support the student. My teaching method is geared towards long-term success by assisting students as they construct their own knowledge, which I believe improves genuine understanding and helps them become confident, capable individuals.
