About Amanda

Hi there, I'm Amanda, a long-time meditator and yoga instructor who's excited about compassionate caretaking. I'm in my 40s, transitioning from a career in higher education administration to counseling psychology to support the LGBTQ community, and I'm interested in caretaking work while I'm back in graduate school. My friends say that I have the heart for this work; I'm frequently described as kind, calm, and quiet and I have a 5-star laugh. I also love to cook and am super dependable. Oh, and the physical aspects of caretaking are also appealing to me after working at a computer for so long; with all the yoga I'm very flexible, both physically and mentally. I'd love to learn more about your family member and what their needs are so I can best meet them. Due to allergies I can't work in homes with pets unless they are dogs with hair instead of fur (like poodles and poodle mixes). Cupertino location is preferred, but Los Altos, Saratoga, or Santa Clara could also be possibilities.
