About Amanda

I'd describe my personality as creative, determined, and accommodating. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to exercise my creativity while simultaneously helping students gain confidence and acquire new skills that will lead to educational success. I'm searching for a role that allows me to work with elementary (special needs) students during the day. I would love to help with school assignments, homework, study skills, and organization skills. In my spare time, I like to hang out and play games with my boys. I also love to cook and bake. My sons love to help me in the kitchen! One thing you should know about me is that I am not a "one-size-fits-all" teacher. As a former special educator, I appreciate that each child is unique and will work to find the best learning style for them. I enjoy having fun while teaching and work hard to have my students feel the same. My skills include adaptability, motivation through interactive lessons, and meeting students where they are.
