About Amanda

I have a passion for caring for children of a variety of ages, languages and cultures. I also specialize in working with ADHD kids. I have over 70 hours of training and certification in infant care, and have worked with preschool age kids in a variety of educational settings, including an underfunded nutrition center in the Dominican Republic, where I engaged extremely low-income Spanish-speaking children with creative play while also making sure their hygienic and nutritional needs were met. I have worked at an interactive, outdoor farm as well as a teacher for multiple day care programs and centers. Additionally, I have extensive experience working with and caring for children ages infant to 14 yrs in one-on-one in home environments. One of the greatest joys in my career as a childcare provider has been to foster and encourage the natural joy and individuality in each child; the children I have cared for in my life have taught me as much as I have taught them.
