About Amani

Hello! I am a senior at the University of Memphis majoring in Health Sciences with a Biology minor. I plan to attend physician assistant school after graduation. I'm CPR and BLS certified, with two years of experience as a certified medical assistant and over a year as a certified nursing assistant at a skilled nursing facility. I've been told by my residents that I have a good heart for medicine, and I'm known for my attention to detail and genuine care. I'd describe my personality as attentive, patient, and gentle. I like caring for seniors because it reminds me of the close bond I had with my grandparents. Taking care of older adults brings back those special memories, and I truly love listening to their stories from back in the day. I also know that one day I'll be in their shoes, and I hope someone will care for me the way I care for them. My skills include personal hygiene/ grooming assistance, dementia care experience, and experience in long term care settings.
