I have taken care of four of my six grandparents when it came to that time. I had my grandmother live with me for awhile until her dementia got too bad. I was her POA. I had to give medication, bath her, do hair, nails, dress her, cook and clown, run errands, schedule doctors appointments, take her to appointments, work with nurses, social workers, play games and go on Grandma and granddaughter dates. I did that with all my grandparents. I was in charge of a lot of their care. I also worked in a nursing home for a bit until I got assaulted and had to leave. But I changed diapers helped them to toiled, changed soiled sheets, clothes and floor. I gave them baths, did their hair, and if they wanted it braided I would. Provided them with company and sat down and listened to them. I have used a chair lift and bed lift. I absolutely love and respect my elders. I miss my grandparents dearly.
