About Amy

My name is Amy, and I love helping people find joy in learning. I recently graduated from BYU with a degree in Biodiversity and Conservation, where I mentored students as a TA in multiple biology courses. I love making science enjoyable and relatable by providing engaging activities and hands-on experiences. I am also experien. ced in ceramics/pottery and clarinet playing, and can teach private lessons. I believe that learning happens best when a teacher listens carefully to a child and adapts their teaching style to that child's need. It is essential that a teacher is kind and supportive, while also being persistent and wholy invested in helping a child to achieve their own goals. I am deeply invested in seeing others succeed, and I will do what I can to help them do so in a way that brings them joy, by going through the process with them and celebrating even the smallest successes.
