About Amy

15 years of experience caring for children has solidified my desire to positively impact their lives. I have experience working at summer camps (3 yrs), in a Montessori classroom (2 yrs), and in a Japanese elementary school (3 yrs). I have worked with kids from about 3 months old to 17 years old. My preference is definitely for the younger end of the age spectrum, but I do enjoy working with all types of children. I offer a patient and calm approach to childcare. I try to live by the philosophy that a child is able to do anything, and I am only there to help guide them and make sure they stay safe doing so. I have a bachelor's degree in English literature and psychology. I absolutely love to to do arts and crafts and read with children. I am comfortable caring for two children. I follow the parents' lead when it comes to enforcing household rules. I am currently in the midst of moving to Westfield and am available to start around November or December of this year.
