I have cared for children in a babysitting or childcare setting for over 10 years. Now that my youngest child is 13, I have the time to pursue my passion for childcare part time. I'm patient, calm, and enjoy playing with babies and toddlers using age appropriate toys and songs. As a caregiver, I believe in supporting families and providing reliable childcare. I keep parents updated about their child's day via paper, text or phone call. I'm comfortable caring for up to three children at a time, ages 0 to 4, but I have the most experience with babies, toddlers and preschoolers, multiples (twins). I can also help with cooking, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. I am CPR & First Aid certified. I am aware of safety precautions needed for babies and toddlers when it comes to eating, diaper changing, playing, sleeping and exploring. Amy was a nanny for our twin boys starting from when they were about 5 months old, as I was returning back to work. Due to her previous daycare and babysitting experience, she was fantastic with our boys right off the bat and was so thoughtful in offering advice and suggestions to us, as they grew developmentally, without overstepping on our journey as new parents. She was not only so amazing, loving to our boys (who felt so comfortable with her right off the bat), but she was also such a calming, reassuring and helpful sounding board for me as a new mom sorting through my thoughts and choices. Furthermore, our two big dogs adored her as well and wanted to sit in her lap and be held by her too! She would also help out around the house, making my responsibilities and life so much easier! We were so hesitant to part ways with Amy but decided to enter our boys into daycare to have more group socialization opportunities. We still ask Amy to babysit our boys for date nights and highly highly recommend her to other families.
