After running an in-home daycare for 7 years, I have returned back to a desk job. However, I terribly miss my time spent with children and families. Because of this, I have decided to continue working on weekends with families who need "coverage" while they go to school meetings, have a dates night, or just need a few hours to go to the store. My children are 16 and 12 years old now. In addition to raising the two of them, I cared for 8+ families, sets of siblings from infant to 8 years old. I have potty trained, danced with, diaper changed, swam with, played bubbles with so many wonderful children over the years. It's part of who I am; I am nurturing and creative, yet firm when consistency is needed. You can count on me to be a mature choice to leave your little ones. Plenty of references available if needed. There are very few people I will leave my children with, but I feel completely comfortable leaving both of them with Amy! Amy has been caring for my daughter for almost 3 years and now she cares for my son who is 1. She is SUPER reliable! My kids love her as if she were family. She is kind and nurturing and goes above and beyond every day with them both. She is so patient and understanding with the kids and with my husband and I. We often forget something, but she never complains or makes us feel badly about this. She is always doing different activities with them and making being away from mommy and daddy enjoyable. My daughter goes to school 2 days a week now, and the highlight of her week is her day spent with Miss Amy!
