About Amy

Hi there. I am trained as a teacher/writer, but I have taken the year off to complete a novel. I am writing every day, but writing is insular work where you must sit in a chair for many hours. I'd love to set aside a few hours each day to take someone for a walk or help make a meal or go shopping. Recently, I moved my own elderly mother in with our family, so I am not unfamiliar with this kind of work. I'm an excellent cook and I love going to the supermarket. Most people say that I am pretty funny. The thing I miss most about teaching is the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. Even though I am not teaching this year, I suspect there are other ways to make a difference in a person's life -- perhaps even yours.
