In a previous dog-sitting job, I was hired to watch a young, high-energy Border Collie who was prone to excessive barking and leash pulling on walks. My goal was to manage his behavior and provide positive reinforcement. I researched positive reinforcement techniques and used puzzle toys and scent games to provide mental stimulation, which helped calm him down. On walks, I consistently used treats and praise when he wasn't pulling Action.
