About Maiah

Hi! My name is Maiah, and I am a passionate and experienced childcare provider with over 8 years of hands-on experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children in both classroom and in-home settings. I have a strong background in early childhood education, including experience as an Infant Lead Teacher, Lead Teacher, and professional nanny. I've worked with children of all abilities, including providing specialized care for children with disabilities. I hold an Associate of Arts degree from Elgin Community College and am currently pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I am CPR, First Aid, and Nanny Certified, and I have completed extensive Gateways to Opportunity trainings focused on child development, safety, trauma-informed care, and creating inclusive learning environments. I am also experienced in maintaining routines, meal preparation, and light household organization to help keep things running smoothly for busy families.
