About Angela

Hi! My name is Angela and I have experience tutoring kids from kindergarteners learning to read to high schoolers learning advanced math and science material. I am a Biology graduate from the UT. I have a strong STEM background. I was recently accepted into PA school and previously prepared for medical school, including studying for and taking the MCAT, so I'm very comfortable with advanced math and science. I currently tutor a sophomore in high school in geometry and previously worked with her in algebra, where she improved her grade from a C to an A. I love breaking down complex material into clear, manageable steps and helping students actually understand the "why" behind what they're learning. I have experience with younger students. In college, I tutored groups in math and science, and I currently nanny a 5-year-old whom I've helped learn to read in just a few months. I believe consistency, encouragement, and patience make all the difference.
