I am a scientist at a local company full time but I am passionate about animals/animal care so this pastime has been rewarding for me. I have had a consistent pet sitting role for some friends of mine who travel a lot for almost two years now and I really love it. I can't afford to adopt more pets, so I enjoy the chance to hangout with yours! Currently my family consists of three cats and a bunny but I have adopted or cared for large dogs (old English sheep dog, black lab), bunnies (lop, Dutch), reptiles (bearded dragon), rodents (rats), and fish (fresh water) over the years. I have a huge soft spot for timid or misunderstood animals. My cats were scared rescues, and all three have grown to be quite comfortable. I let the animal lead and I have learned how to introduce myself and adjust to their boundaries so they may feel safe when I enter their space. I am able to do injections as well as SubQ fluids, as well as transdermal and oral medications.
