About Anna

Hi, I'm Anna! I have 3 years experience teaching secondary History and English at the regular and AP level, as well as previous background working with elementary literacy. My years in the classroom have given me considerable experience working one on one with students to meet their precise needs. Over the summer, I can work with students to build confidence in grade-level reading and writing fluency. I prefer student-directed tutoring -- where students' individual interests serve as the foundation for what they will read, research, and write. I also tutor students who need additional preparation for advanced courses or tests (like AP or SAT exams). I like tutoring because I enjoy working alongside students as they grow in knowledge and develop critical skills. I also love watching kids get excited when they realize the progress they have made! In my spare time, I like to race my ever-expanding to read list, eat with friends and family, and play with my pet rabbit, Obi-Bun Kenobi.
