About Anna

I started working with kids when I was in 7th grade as a mother's helper which helped prepare me for babysitting and form a lasting relationship with this family. I have been a nanny for the past 5 summers which allowed me to apply different childcare techniques that are unique to each child. I have always had a passion for working with kids, which led me to pursue a degree that could lead me to a pediatric field in speech therapy. I just graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. Therefore, I am familiar with child development, language acquisition, and family styles. My skills include -Using creativity to plan age-appropriate exercises that encourage language, and motor development. -Problem-solving skills, active listening techniques, and emotional support to best understand children during challenges.
