About Annemarie

Hi, I'm Annemarie. I'm a high school teacher with a Master's degree in history. I teach AP/STAAR US History and AP Art History. I have taught AP English Lang & Comp and 6th grade ELA. I have a proven track record of high scores for students on both their STAAR and AP exams. I have knowledge in teaching reading comprehension, grammar, and writing. As a history teacher, I help students make connections between key events and themes, as well as break down how to write a history essay. I work with students with learning differences and EL students in 9th-12th grade and have worked with 6th graders. I've learned how to tailor each student's learning to meet their needs. I know how important it is to keep learning engaging and straightforward. My goal is to help your student connect to and understand the material.
